Review summary

The Black Horse offers a convenient location near Canterbury West train station and within walking distance of the cathedral. Guests frequently compliment the freshly made English breakfast, with options for continental as well, and the inclusion of freshly baked treats each morning. While some found the attic rooms a bit small, particularly for taller guests, others appreciated the bright and spacious standard rooms, some of which include a kettle and fridge. Its central location provides easy access to both the train station and the historical city center.

Fantastic B&B Experience!

easy parkingamazing breakfasthelpful hostinformation binder
I found parking around the corner easily! The breakfast was AMAZING!!! It was personally. I really appreciated the information binder in the room. It had many suggestions for local things to do and places to eat. I would stay again!
My room was slightly smaller than I expected.

Acceptable Stay with a Few Issues

impersonal check-inhot water
Self check-in felt impersonal I prefer interacting with staff. My room was quite small and lacked space for luggage storage. Also the hot water tap provided very hot water I had to run it for a while before it reached a usable temperature.
